About Us

'Colomb House' is the 2024 award winner for 'Guest House of the Year, by UK's Travel and Hospitality. This stylish and contemporary 4000 sq. ft. villa was designed by an award-winning architect, George John of RC Architecture. The polished concrete look is offset by golden yellow IPS floors created using traditional Indian methods. Colourful Moroccan and Portuguese style tiles all over the house add the finishing touch.

The unusual design brings in nature by building around trees and letting natural light in everywhere. All the open spaces between the different areas allow the energy of Chi to flow freely throughout the house! Spots have been created around the house where you can chill, catch up with your reading or a friend…and just bliss out! The entire villa is perfect for get-togethers, workcations, staycations, offsites, retreats or workshops.

There are 4 identical bedrooms and 1 spacious suite built across 2 floors, all air-conditioned, with large ensuite bathrooms. The sparkling blue jewel on the terrace is a cool, relaxing plunge pool with a shower. There is a TV in the living area and in the Suite. A basket of toys and plenty of books are available to keep your kids and you occupied.

The open kitchen is fully fitted out with a 4-hob gas stove, 4-slice toaster, mixer-grinder, double-basin sink, OTG, microwave, 3-door refrigerator, electric kettle, front loading washing machine, dryer - and a whole range of pots, pans, crockery and cutlery.

There is hi-speed Wi-Fi available, with 3 routers.

What can you do in Canacona?

People mostly come to South Goa to chill and unwind since it’s quieter than the North. There are several beautiful and peaceful beaches (some world famous) that you can spend the day at. Besides the beach shacks, there are some places to hang out at night that have DJ nights and live music shows. There is a rule in Palolem that doesn’t allow loud music beyond 10 PM. But you can still sit in restaurants and bars later than that.

You can do day trips to places like the Dandeli Bird Sanctuary, Ponda Spice Plantations, Old Goa, Panaji, Doodh Sagar Waterfall or Madgaon. Cabo de Rama is an old fort which is a favourite spot to catch the sunset. There are beaches like Benaulim and Cavelossim that have water sports.

How do we get to Colomb House?

Dabolim Airport is 60km and MOPA Airport is around 99 km from Colomb House. You can take a taxi from these airports to reach Colomb. There are also buses you can catch – but you would need to take 2 or 3 buses to reach Canacona Bus Station. Another option is to rent a car which will be delivered to you and then drive down.

There is a train station at Canacona but only a few trains make a stop here. The nearest train station is at Madgaon.
